Risk Warnings
The value of investments, and the income from them, can go up as well as down and investors may not get back the amount of their original investment. All investments in financial markets carry an element of risk. Certain investments carry a higher degree of risk than others and are, therefore, unsuitable for some investors. Where an investment involves exposure to a foreign currency, changes in rates of exchange may cause the value of the investment, and the income from it, to go up or down. Tax treatment depends on an investor’s individual circumstances, and it may be subject to change.

Execution Venues
Under MiFID II and the FCA regulations, we are committed to acting honestly, fairly and professionally in accordance with our clients’ best interests when providing investment services and, in particular, when arranging (bringing about) deals in investments and dealing in investments. As part of these responsibilities, we are obliged to disclose on an annual basis our top five execution venues. As a firm, we do not execute or deal directly with execution venues. Instead, we transmit orders on behalf of our clients to our appointed third party providers of investment administration and dealing services (using their wrap platform). Where we appoint third party providers to execute trades on a client’s behalf, we will only do so where we have assessed their suitability for transacting, monitoring and reporting. When we send applications or place orders on behalf of our clients, we make every effort to secure the best possible result for all clients in accordance with our Best Execution Policy, a copy of which is available on request. These platforms and venues also have responsibility in relation to best execution and client order handling. As part of our obligations under this Policy, therefore, we regularly assess the effectiveness of any such third party providers to ensure the best results possible are obtained on a consistent basis. We classify all clients as retail clients for the purposes of best execution. This means that we will assess best execution by taking into account a range of different execution factors and their relative importance, they will predominately turn on:

  • Price (the best price available to the client)
  • Cost (additional charges levied on the trade)
  • Speed (the time it takes to place and execute the trade)
